• Original The Lord of the Rings trilogy, signature box set from 1978, Houghton Mifflin Company. This is the revised second edition.
• The books themselves are in excellent condition! No stains, tears, rips, etc besides very minor creasing on the front of each sleeve (shown in the photos above) and a slight scuff on the front of The Return of the King.
• The red cover/box itself is in very rough shape.
• I put “good” as the overall condition since the red box is beat up but the books are in excellent shape.
I saw listings on EBay for over $90 and some for $45 but the books are in terrible shape. I made sure to also factor in the cost of shipping. So don’t hesitate to send me your offers!
